The daily newspaper “Die Presse” supports with scholarships young talented professionals of the automotive and component supply industries.
For the seventh time the hearing for the "Die Presse Scholarship" took place on April 12, 2017 at the TU Wien. Mr. DI Ramesh Kumar Selvasankar(Gebauer & Griller Kabelwerk GmbH, Poysdorf) and Mr. Emrah Eminoglu (Magnapowertrain, Lannach) convinced with their motivation and professional background the jury which consisted of Univ. Prof. Dr. Wilfried Sihn (Academic Director, TU Wien), Univ. Prof. Dr. Jan Lesinsky (Academic Director, Slovak Technical University in Bratislava), Ing. Andreas Walter (Die Presse) and Dr. Man Wook Han (Programm Manager, TU Wien).
After his bachelor graduation in Polymer technology at Anna University India in the year 2005 Mr. DI Ramesh Kumar Selvasankar came to Austria in October 2005 to do his master study in polymer science and engineering at Montanuniversität Leoben. He started a Ph.D. program in polymer engineering at the same university and will finish in 2017. He is now working as lead engineer for plastic components at Gebauer & Griller Kabelwerk GmbH, Poysdorf. With the Professional MBA Automotive Industry Program he wants to become a professional manager and make a mark in the automotive industry with new ideas and innovations.
After his Bachelor Study in Mechanical Engineering in Turkey Mr. Emrah Eminoglu finished his Master Study of Systems and Control at Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands. He worked as a Functional Safety Manager at different companies, like AVL List GmbH, Bosch in Germany and since January 2017, he has been working as Global Functional Safety Manager at Magna Powertrain GmbH in Lannach/Austria. With the Knowledge from the Professional MBA Automotive Industry Program he wants to proceed his career as a top Manager.

Applications received before April 15, 2017 are eligible for a 10% Early Bird Bonus on the total tuition fee. With the Early Bird Bonus the tuition fee amounts to EUR 18,000 instead of EUR 20,000. For each student, only one bonus can be claimed. No further discounts possible.
