The PSA Peugeot Citroën factory in Trnava, Slovakia belongs to one of the newest factories of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group. Three years after the foundation in June 2006 PSA Peugeot Citroën started the production of Peugeot 207. Since the first quarter of 2009 the new model Citroën C3 Picasso is produced exclusively in this plant and in 2011 177,694 vehicles left this factory. Since November 2011 PSA Peugeot Citroën factory in Trnava is producing Peugeot 208. Nearly 845 cars are produced per day.
The director of communication and external relations of the company welcomed the participants and introduced the company focused on the company’s main goals, the safety issues, the working condition and the employees care in PSA. After the presentation of the company the tour started from press shop. At the welding shop participants had an opportunity particularly to see the automatic tool changing. The quality of welded points of the car body was precisely controlled in regular intervals at the quality control station. The tour ended at the final assembly line of the car. After the tour the quality manager, logistic manager and assembly manager joined the presentation and Q&A session to present their concepts and the practical implementation of them and answer the questions from the participants.
The MBA participants spent the whole day at the PSA Peugeot Citroën in Trnava. It was a good opportunity to know and feel the working atmosphere and environment of one of major French OEMs.
